Authenticate with Microsoft or Azure AD/Entra

The Agility Content Manager includes the ability to login with Microsoft.  This provides you with the ability to login with either your personal Microsoft Account or your organization's Azure Active Directory (AD)/Entra credentials.

This process allows you to verify your identity using your Microsoft or Organization's Azure AD account.  The email address of your Microsoft or Azure AD account must match a user that has previously been configured in Agility.  No other information (such as AD permissions, roles, or groups) is queried from your Azure AD account.

How to Use It

At the login screen, simply click "Sign in with Microsoft". This will trigger the Microsoft sign-on process. If you've already authenticated with Microsoft in your browser session or in Windows, you may not be required to enter your password again. You may also use multi-factor authentication (MFA) to login with this process as determined by your Entra administration or Microsoft account.

Authentication can happen in one of two ways:

• Username field on the login screen. 
  • Once your email is entered in the Username field, the password field will disappear and you can proceed to click the login button.
  • You will be directed to the Microsoft login page. From here enter your Azure AD SSO login and proceed as normal.
  • You are logged into Agility!
•  Login with the Microsoft button
  • Pressing the "Sign in Microsoft" button takes you immediately to the Microsoft login page.
  • Here you are required to enter your UPN (User Principle Name) email address for social login.
    • Security Info: Microsoft Entra (previously Azure AD) allows administrators to use an email address that is different from their UPN, and through this functionality an attacker can spoof any email address they desire. To mitigate this security risk, Agility requires that users login using their UPN (User Principle Name) email address only.
  • This email may differ from the email address you had in Agility pre October 2025.
  • If you cannot see your Agility page, verify with your Agility Instance Admin that the email address has the necessary permissions in your Agility instance. This email is required for login using this method.
  • You are logged into Agility!

Direct Azure AD/Entra Connection

To connect directly to Agility using your Azure AD/Entra Connection, use the following URL: http://manager.agilitycms.com/login?connection=azure-ad

Using that link will ensure that your users are directed directly to the Microsoft Entra login screen for your organization. This is especially useful if you have a portal of Enterprise Application links on your intranet dashboard.
